[PROBLEMS] To improve power generation efficiency. A fuel cell stack includes a fuel manifold and a fuel cell. The fuel cell 301 extends from the fuel manifold 200. The fuel battery cell 301 includes a support substrate 20 and a plurality of power generation element units 10. The support substrate 20 includes a gas flow path extending along the longitudinal direction. The power generating element units 10 are arranged on the support substrate 20 at intervals from each other along the longitudinal direction. Of each power generation element unit 10, the area of the base end side power generation element unit 10 a arranged closest to the gas supply side is larger than the average value of the areas of the other power generation element units 10.
