abstract | A method for forming a patterned insulating layer is provided. (A) A step of applying a photosensitive insulating layer composition to form a coating film, (B) a step of irradiating the coating film with electromagnetic radiation through a mask, and (C) irradiation of electromagnetic radiation through the mask. In the method for forming an insulating layer, the method comprising: developing the coated film with a developer to form a pattern; and (D) baking the pattern to form an insulating layer. Is a polymer having at least one repeating unit selected from the group consisting of a repeating unit containing an isocyanato group blocked with a blocking agent and a repeating unit containing an isothiocyanato group blocked with a blocking agent in the molecule.
