The present invention provides a lithium composite oxide having a new structure and a method for producing the same, in which residual lithium is reduced and the capacity characteristics, resistance characteristics, and life characteristics are improved. Lithium composite oxide secondary particles formed by agglomerating a plurality of primary particles, a Co concentration gradient portion on the surface portion of the secondary particles, and a Co concentration constant portion on the inner side of the surface portion. Lithium composite oxide secondary particles containing lithium, wherein the Co concentration gradient portion located on the surface portion has a thickness of 50 to 150 nm. [Selection] Figure 1 |
