titleOfInvention Droplet stabilization device, droplet sorting device and methods thereof
abstract Disclosed is a droplet stabilization device capable of stabilizing a droplet flowing through a microchannel with a simple configuration, and a stabilization method thereof. A droplet generation unit 21 has a flow path of a dispersed phase fluid Ld to be a droplet D intersecting with a flow path of a continuous phase fluid Lc, and shears the dispersed phase fluid Ld with the continuous phase fluid Lc. As a result, a droplet D is generated. The droplet D generated by the droplet generator 21 flows along with the continuous phase fluid Lc in the main channel 15. A stabilizing liquid supply flow path 32 is connected to the main flow path 15. The stabilizing liquid Ls is supplied from the stabilizing liquid supply unit 14 to the main flow path 15 through the stabilizing liquid supply flow path 32. The stabilizing liquid Ls is a fluid in which the same carrier oil and surfactant as the continuous phase fluid Lc are mixed, but the concentration of the surfactant is higher in the stabilizing liquid Ls than in the continuous phase fluid Lc. .
