abstract |
Disclosed are systems and methods for delivering drugs non-invasively to living tissue. Delivery of the drug to the tissue can be by one or more modalities. In some embodiments, the systems and methods employ a drug carrier body that includes a tissue contacting surface that non-invasively grasps the tissue being treated. The tissue contacting surface may be at least partially defined by a plurality of protrusions fluidly connected to one or more reservoirs that form part of the drug carrier body. The protrusion may extend from the inside to the outside of the void and terminate at the tissue contacting surface. |
