abstract A continuous event processor can receive a continuous stream of events and process each event by applying a CEP query to the event. A method for enriching source events with contextual data contained in a data store using a CQL processor is disclosed herein. An event processing network table component is created to represent a data store in the event processing network. The event processing network table component has a mapping component for identifying a mapping from CQL event attributes to information associated with data in the data store. The table component is then used as an external relationship source to perform operations including selection of data corresponding to events from the data store and enrichment of events with such data.
