abstract | The present invention is a method for non-denaturing preparation of peptide or protein nanoprecipitates, or nanocoprecipitates of peptides or proteins and metal ions, wherein the protein or peptide is 20 kDa or less, preferably 15 kDa or less, It relates to a process having a molecular weight of preferably 10 kDa or less, more preferably 8 kDa or less. The method comprises preparing a mixture of an aqueous solution of a peptide or protein, a non-solvent of the peptide or protein, and optionally a water-soluble metal salt. The invention also relates to a nanoprecipitate obtainable by the method according to the invention and a pharmaceutical composition comprising said nanoprecipitate for use in the treatment or prevention of diabetes. |
