titleOfInvention | Method for modifying glycoprotein using beta- (1,4) -N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase or a mutant thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to a glycoprotein modification method using β- (1,4) -N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase or a mutant thereof. This method contacts a glycoprotein comprising a glycan containing a terminal GlcNAc moiety with an unnatural sugar derivative nucleotide in the presence of β- (1,4) -N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase or a mutant thereof. Includes steps. The unnatural sugar derivative nucleotide has the formula (3): (wherein A is —N 3 ; —C (O) R 3 ; —C≡C—R 4 ; —SH; —SC (O) R 8 ; SC (V) OR 8 (where V is O or S); -X (where X is selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br and I); -OS (O) 2 R 5 ; which may be optionally substituted C 2 -C 24 alkyl group; optionally optionally substituted terminus also be C 2 -C 24 alkenyl group; and which may end C 3 even though -C optionally substituted Selected from the group consisting of 24 allenyl groups).
