The present invention provides a therapeutic placental composition comprising placental cells from placental tissue and other placental components. A cryopreserved placental composition is also provided. The placental composition can be used in particular to stimulate and promote angiogenesis, reduce inflammation and reduce scar formation. The placental tissue can optionally be amniotic membrane, chorion, trophoblast depleted chorion, umbilical cord, Whatton jelly, placental lobe, and / or maternal decidua. The placenta compositions of the present invention are useful in the treatment of patients with tissue injury (eg, wounds or burns) by applying the placenta composition to the injury or nearby portions. The placental composition may also be used to promote or increase tissue regeneration. Similar applications are useful for ligament and tendon repair and for engraftment procedures such as bone engraftment. [Selection] Figure 1 |
