abstract A system is provided for identifying the sufficiency of damage formed during a tissue ablation procedure. The systems and methods include administering an ICG composition to a patient and forming one or more injuries at the surgical site. The method further includes applying a type and amount of energy sufficient to generate fluorescence in the ICG in the patient's body. While the ICG fluoresces, images of tissue and damage at the surgical site are obtained. Differentiate the damage from the surrounding de novo tissue based on the area of fluorescence and allow the user to assess the quality of the damage. [Selection] Figure 1
