abstract | The present disclosure relates to a method of separating a subject compound, particularly an unsaturated compound of interest, from a mixture. The compounds are separated using columns having chromatographic stationary phase materials in a variety of different modes of chromatography containing a first substituent and a second substituent. The first substituent minimizes the change in retention of the compound over time under chromatographic conditions. The second substituent includes one or more aromatic hydrocarbon groups, polyaromatic hydrocarbon groups, heteroaromatic hydrocarbon groups, or polyheteroaromatic hydrocarbon groups, thereby chromatographing the compound. Retaining graphically and selectively, each group is optionally substituted with an aliphatic group. |
