titleOfInvention | Confocal detection for minimizing excessive capsular incision during dynamic running on the lens fistula surface |
abstract | Embodiments of the present invention disclose an imaging system. The imaging system includes an eye interface device, a scan assembly, a beam source, a free floating mechanism, and a detection assembly. The beam source generates an electromagnetic beam. The detection assembly generates a signal representative of the intensity of the portion of the electromagnetic beam reflected from the focal location. The next focus of the electromagnetic beam can be adjusted for each measured intensity signal. In some embodiments, an intensity signal that is below the lower threshold may indicate an increase in depth for the next focus. An intensity signal that is above the upper threshold may indicate a depth reduction for the next focus. An intensity signal between the lower and upper thresholds may indicate depth maintenance for the next focus. The focus can be adjusted after each pulse or after multiple pulses. |
