titleOfInvention | Fractionation of oligosaccharides from agricultural waste |
abstract | The present invention is a continuous and cost-effective chemoenzymatic process for fractionating holocellulose obtained from agricultural waste into arabinoxylo-oligosaccharides, xylo-oligosaccharides, and cellooligosaccharides suitable for commercial applications. I will provide a. This method mixes holocellulose with an aqueous medium under controlled conditions to obtain an aqueous extract comprising a soluble arabinoxylo-oligosaccharide and an insoluble solid fraction; the solid fraction under controlled conditions. Treating with an aqueous alkaline solution to obtain soluble xylo-oligosaccharides and cellulose residues. The cellulose residue is suspended in an aqueous acid solution and treated with enzymes under controlled conditions to produce soluble cellooligosaccharides. The arabinoxylo-oligosaccharide, xylooligosaccharide, and cellooligosaccharide obtained from this method have a degree of polymerization greater than 4. |
