abstract | To provide a toner having both low-temperature fixing property, paper discharge blocking resistance, and image storage stability. A toner containing at least a binder resin and particles of a metal complex or salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid derivative, wherein an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX) of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) is provided. A toner characterized in that a value calculated from peak intensity satisfies any of the following formulas (1) to (3) when quantitative analysis is performed. (1) 2.8 ≦ [I Zr / (I Zr + I C )] 10 kV / [I Zr / (I Zr + I C )] 6 kV ≦ 3.0 (2) 2.2 ≦ [I Al / (I Al + I C )] 10 kV / [I Al / (I Al + I C )] 6 kV ≦ 2.4 (3) 1.0 ≦ [I Zn / (I Zn + I C )] 10 kV / [I Zn / (I Zn + I C )] 6 kV ≦ 1.2 (In the above formula, I Zr , I Al , I Zn , and I C indicate the peak intensity [cps] of the corresponding metal element or carbon element when EDX measurement is performed, and the subscript (kV) is Accelerating voltage.)
