titleOfInvention Battery separator
abstract A battery separator having cellulosic fibers with improved resistance to an alkaline solution. A battery separator including lyocell fiber, wherein the lyocell fiber is mercerized. The present invention relates to a novel lyocell fiber useful for a battery separator and a battery including the battery separator of the present invention. The battery separator whose R10 value and R18 value of the said lyocell fiber are the following. A battery separator in which the amount of lyocell fibers in the separator is preferably 1 to 100%, more preferably 15 or more, further preferably 25% or more, more preferably 40% or more, and particularly preferably 50% or more.
