abstract | The present invention provides a polyarylene sulfide composition that exhibits good strength and heat resistance characteristics and is used for forming various products such as automobile parts and electrical parts, and a method for producing the composition. A polyarylene sulfide composition formed by melt processing a polyarylene sulfide, a reactive functionalized siloxane polymer, and a non-aromatic impact modifier. A polyarylene sulfide composition in which the non-aromatic impact modifier is, for example, an ethylene-based copolymer or terpolymer, or a silicone elastomer. Greater tensile elongation of 30%, about 40 kJ / m 2 greater than notched Izod impact strength of about 30 kJ / m 2 from the hearing unnotched Izod impact strength, flexural bullet of less than about 240 MPa, fracture bending stress of less than about 7070MPa A polyarylene sulfide composition that exhibits one or more of satisfying the V-0 flammability standard at greater than about 25%, tensile breaking strain, and thickness of 0.2 mm.
