A cell culture substrate for easily and efficiently inducing macrophages to a certain character is provided. The cell culture substrate for controlling the induction of macrophage phenotype according to the present invention is characterized in that it has an uneven pattern on the surface to which cells adhere, and the width of the unevenness is 50 nm or more and less than 1000 nm.
