abstract A display device in which a structure can be provided adjacent to an end face of a display medium is provided. When a display film 112 of a fluorescent light emitting display 100 is excited by a first excitation light EL11 and a second excitation light EL12, the phosphor emits a first fluorescence RL1 having a wavelength shorter than that of the excitation light. A first display surface 112a that holds the fine particles 111 in a dispersed manner and displays the first fluorescence is provided. The first prism 124 of the fluorescent light emitting display is in contact with the first display surface, and introduces the first excitation light from the first display surface of the display film to the display film and propagates it along the first display surface.
