titleOfInvention Magnetic resonance imaging system
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of detecting characteristics of a polymer in a living tissue using magnetization transfer. A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes a sequence control unit and a reception unit. The sequence control unit collects magnetic resonance signals to be imaged after applying an MT (Magnetization Transfer) pulse having a frequency different from the resonance frequency of free water protons. The reception unit receives a setting of a frequency band of the MT pulse and an interval for incrementing the frequency. Further, the sequence control unit collects the magnetic resonance signals for each of a plurality of frequencies while incrementing the frequency at an interval at which the setting is received within a band in which the setting is received.
