titleOfInvention | Actuating mechanism for drug delivery device and drug delivery device |
abstract | An actuating mechanism for a drug delivery device is provided for simple and safe drug delivery. The actuating mechanism comprises an outer sleeve (4) fitted to the delivery device (1) and an inner sleeve (3) arranged to fit on the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve is axially translatable relative to the delivery device and the inner sleeve is axially translatable relative to the outer sleeve. In the first state, the inner sleeve projects distally from the outer sleeve and the outer sleeve projects distally from the delivery device. In the second state, the inner sleeve is contained within the outer sleeve. Further, the outer sleeve moves proximally relative to the delivery device to initiate delivery of the drug within the delivery device. [Selection] Figure 1 |
