abstract | Disclosed is a composition in which particles capable of observing a structural color when a particle structure is formed, which can form an image having low angle dependency by an ink jet method, and such a composition. To provide an ink set containing the same and an image forming method using such a composition. A composition according to the present invention is a composition for image formation by an ink jet method, comprising particles capable of forming a particle structure in which a structural color can be observed, and a pinning agent. The ink set according to the present invention is an ink set including a plurality of the above-described compositions containing particles having an average particle diameter capable of observing red, green, and blue when a particle structure is formed.
