titleOfInvention Starch for coated paper
abstract [PROBLEMS] To provide a starch for papermaking which is excellent in anti-aging stability and used in a pigment coating layer for producing pigment coated paper, and a coated paper using the starch as an adhesive contained in the pigment coating layer. Provided. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] “(Average square rotation radius) / (weight average absolute molecular weight) 1/3 ” measured by size exclusion chromatography-multi-angle light scattering (SEC-MALS) method is 0.3 nm · mol / g or less. A starch, preferably a starch that is baked dextrin. A coated paper using the starch as an adhesive contained in a pigment coating layer. As the adhesive, a styrene / butadiene latex and the starch are preferably used in combination, and the pigment preferably contains calcium carbonate. [Selection figure] None
