abstract | Provided are spherical AlN particles that can be used as filler particles oriented to high filling properties and high thermal conductivity, are denser than conventional ones, and have a high AlN content for high thermal conductivity, and a method for producing the same. A spherical particle containing one or more compounds of La, Dy, and Er, a compound of Si, and AlN, wherein one or more compounds of La, Dy, and Er are converted into oxides. The total content is 0.01 to 0.5 wt%, the Si compound is contained in a proportion of 0.01 to 0.5 wt% in terms of SiO 2 , and the AlN is contained in a proportion of 80 wt% or more.
