abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel synthesis reagent for producing a nitrile compound which does not use a hydroxylamine derivative having a problem in storage stability and handleability. An O-benzenesulfonyl-acetohydroxam represented by the following chemical formula: wherein R1 is H, CF3, or OCH3, and R2 is CH3, C2H5, or C3H7. It relates to acid ester derivatives. In addition, a nitrile compound synthesis reagent for synthesizing a nitrile compound from an aldehyde compound, including the O-benzenesulfonyl-acetohydroxamic acid ester derivative, and further, an aldehyde compound in the presence of the synthesis reagent, an organic solvent, and an acid catalyst The present invention relates to a method for producing a nitrile compound, which comprises a step of transoximation.
