abstract | Disclosed is a waste gas treatment facility stop device and operation method that can stop the supply of waste gas only when a sulfur dioxide concentration abnormality occurs. A stop device 20 of a waste gas treatment facility 10 includes an inlet concentration measuring device 21 for measuring a sulfur dioxide concentration of waste gas supplied to the absorption tower facility 12, and a waste gas discharged from the absorption tower facility 12. An outlet concentration measuring device 22 that measures the sulfur dioxide concentration, a pH meter 23 that measures the pH of the neutralizer of the waste gas used in the absorption tower facility 12, and two or more of the three measured values are provided for each. And a control device 24 that stops the operation of the blower 17 that supplies the waste gas to the absorption tower facility 12 when the specified reference value is exceeded.
