abstract | It is known that near infrared rays are deeply involved in skin aging and the like, and there is a need for a skin external preparation capable of protecting the skin from near infrared rays. An object of this invention is to provide the skin external preparation which can protect skin effectively from near infrared rays. The external preparation for skin of the present invention contains an alkylphosphonic acid copper salt. The alkylphosphonic acid copper salt is preferably contained in an amount of 0.05% by mass or more and less than 50% by mass in 100% by mass of the external preparation for skin.
