abstract | An image display element, an image display device, and an image display method capable of vivid full-color display and having excellent high-speed response and low power consumption are provided. SOLUTION: A solution layer 4 is provided between a pair of opposing transparent electrodes 1 and 2, and charged developer particles 5 are included in the solution layer 4 and at least one opposing surface side of the transparent electrodes 1 and 2 is provided. The color developing layer 3 containing a leuco dye is provided, and the developer particles are colored by introducing the developer particles into the color developing layer 3 by a voltage applied between the transparent electrodes 1 and 2.
