The present invention provides a transgenic non-human animal comprising a nucleic acid encoding an immunoglobulin light chain, wherein the immunoglobulin light chain is human, human-like or humanized. The nucleic acid comprises means for conferring resistance to DNA rearrangement and / or somatic hypermutation. In one embodiment, the nucleic acid comprises an expression cassette for expression of a desired molecule in a cell that is in a particular stage of development in a cell that develops in a mature B cell.
