abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyrotaxane having high compatibility with a polyol compound. An object of the present invention is a modified polyrotaxane in which one or a plurality of hydroxyl groups are modified, the cyclic molecule (Aa) is a cyclodextrin, and a part or all of the hydroxyl groups of the cyclodextrin are hydroxy. A part of or all of the hydroxyl groups in the polyrotaxane are bonded with a propyl group, and the modification group (Ad) derived from caprolactone is modified, and the ratio of modification of the hydroxyl groups present in the polyrotaxane (A) by the functional group (B) is polyrotaxane. 10 to 50% of the hydroxyl group present in (A), and the proportion of the hydroxyl group modified in the polyrotaxane (A) by the functional group (B) is 0% to the polyol compound This is solved by a modified polyrotaxane having a compatibility ratio of 1.2 to 15 when the compatibility is 1.
