PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: There is a known problem that when primary cultured hepatocytes collected from a human body are seeded on a plate and used, the activity of cytochrome P450 (CYP), which is a drug metabolizing enzyme, is remarkably lowered with time. By including either a GSK3 signal inhibitor or a DYRK (dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase) inhibitor, or both, in a hepatocyte culture medium, human primary cultured hepatocytes can be produced for a longer period of time than in a conventional medium. A medium composition capable of maintaining CYP activity is provided. [Selection] Figure 1 |
