titleOfInvention | Composite particles |
abstract | Provided is a particle useful for detection and separation of biomolecules, which exhibits a uniform particle size and high dispersion stability and specifically binds to a molecule. A composite particle including a polymer graft chain, fine particles, and an affinity ligand, and one end of the polymer graft chain is bonded to the surface of the fine particle with a graft density of 0.1 chain / nm 2 or more. The composite particle in which the affinity ligand is bound to the other end of the polymer graft chain, and the affinity ligand is bound to less than 20% of the total length of the polymer graft chain. The polymer graft chain is formed by living radical polymerization of one or more monomers selected from a (meth) acrylic acid derivative, a (meth) acrylamide derivative, and a styrene derivative based on a polymerization initiating group on the particle surface. A composite particle obtained and further comprising a monomer capable of binding to the affinity ligand at a site of less than 20% of the total length of the polymer graft chain.
