abstract |
The present invention provides a two-step chromatographic method for the small and large scale purification of proteins, particularly monoclonal antibodies, using only four buffers made from a mother solution. A method for purifying a protein from a solution comprising: (a)-passing the solution through a first chromatography column;-using a first elution buffer and the first chromatography column. Eluting the crude protein eluent from the first chromatography step; and (b)-passing the crude protein eluate obtained at the end of step (a) through a second chromatography column; -A second chromatography step comprising recovering the purified protein from the second chromatography column using a second elution buffer, wherein each buffer comprises Bistris; Method.
