titleOfInvention | Cholesterol absorption inhibitor and food and medicine containing the same |
abstract | The present invention provides a novel cholesterol absorption inhibitor, food or medicine having a higher cholesterol absorption inhibitory effect than conventional polyphenols. A cholesterol absorption inhibitor comprising at least one polysaccharide selected from the group consisting of agar, gum arabic, guar gum, gellan gum, and alginate as an active ingredient. In this case, it is preferable that the amount of reducing sugar of the polysaccharide is in the range of 1.2 to 7.5. Moreover, it is preferable to have the effect | action which inhibits absorption of cholesterol by suppressing the expression of a cholesterol absorption promotion gene, and it is more preferable that a cholesterol absorption promotion gene is NPC1L1. Furthermore, the present invention is a food or pharmaceutical product comprising the above cholesterol absorption inhibitor. [Selection] Figure 1 |
