| abstract | Kind Code: A1 A method for selecting a pearl agent having an effect of correcting the skin tone is provided for a pearl agent to be blended into a cosmetic having an effect of correcting the skin tone. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for selecting a pearl agent having an effect of correcting the perceived skin tone in a target direction while having low coloring ability. A method for selecting a pearl agent that has an effect of perceptually correcting the color tone of a skin by causing a color relative ratio between a skin region and a highlight region by a reflection interference color. (A) a step of setting an arbitrary flesh color correction direction, (b) a step of limiting a hue range of reflection interference colors to be corrected in the set flesh color correction direction, and (c) obtaining an optical index value of the pearl agent.
