abstract [PROBLEMS] To provide a novel anoscope having a simple structure and high safety without interposing the mucous membrane in the anus. A pair of long piece portions 2 each having an arcuate cross section are arranged to face each other on a concave surface portion 3, and are connected to each other via a hinge portion 5 at one long edge portion 4 a and are opposed to each other by the hinge portion 5. The other long edge portion 4b of the scale piece portion 2 can be approached or separated, and each long piece portion 2 is tapered toward the distal end portion in the longitudinal direction. When approaching, the distal end portion is substantially closed by the opposing long piece portion 2, and the other end portion in the longitudinal direction is provided with a handle portion 6 that can be freely operated to approach or separate. The hinge 1 has a groove portion having an H-shaped cross section, and a long resin hinge 5 is disposed over the entire length of the opposing long edge portions 4a of the long piece portions 2 connected to each other.
