A power storage device capable of securing as much usable power as possible even if one of two power storage devices fails. A power storage device includes a first battery, a second battery, a conversion unit that converts at least one of an output voltage of the first battery and an output voltage of the second battery, and at least one of the first battery and the second battery. A detection unit that detects a sign of one failure and a control unit that controls the conversion unit are provided. When the detection unit detects a precursor of the failure of the first capacitor or the second capacitor, the control unit controls the conversion unit to transfer power from the capacitor in which the precursor is detected to the other capacitor.
