Provided is a lithium ion secondary battery in which corrosion of an aluminum positive electrode current collector is suppressed even when an imide salt is included in a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The present invention is a lithium ion secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, and the non-aqueous electrolyte includes LiPF 6 and a general formula (1): (XSO 2 ) ( FSO 2 ) N — Li + (wherein X represents a fluorine atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms) and an imide salt represented by the above, The current collector of the positive electrode is characterized by being an aluminum foil having a purity of 97.0% or more and 99.0% or less.
