The present application relates to processing conditions and chemical substances applicable to various rapid solidification processing methods for obtaining improved properties such as tensile properties and ductility in an iron-based glass forming alloy. The present invention relates to a metal alloy capable of forming a spinodal glass matrix microstructure component. The alloy is iron-based and includes nickel, boron, silicon and optionally chromium. The alloy exhibits ductility and relatively high tensile strength and may be in the form of sheets, ribbons, wires, and / or fibers. The use of such alloys is described. [Selection] Figure 15 |
