abstract An ablation device is provided. The apparatus includes an insertion tube, an ablation electrode disposed at a distal end of the tube, a conductive element, and a sensor. The conductive element transmits an ablation current from the proximal end of the tube to the ablation electrode, and a sensor measures the amplitude of the ablation current at the distal end of the tube.
