[PROBLEMS] To provide a polarizing film film that can be stretched at a high stretching ratio without using a special stretching method, and a very thin film thickness that is obtained by using this polarizing film film and that exhibits high polarization performance. A polarizing film is provided. A polarizing film film comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin in which cellulose fibers having a number average fiber diameter of 2 to 200 nm are dispersed, and a polarizing film obtained by dyeing and stretching the polarizing film film.
