abstract The present invention provides a method for producing a highly pure one-terminal aminosilicone and a method for producing a starting compound to be used. A method for producing a one-terminal aminosilicone represented by the following general formula [III], wherein R′R2SiO (R2SiO) mR2SiC3H6NH2 [III] (wherein m is an integer of 1 to 200; 'Is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.) A compound represented by the following formula [II] is represented by R'R2SiO (R2SiO) mR2SiC3H6N (SiR3) 2 [II (Wherein m, R ′, and R are as defined above), wherein the method comprises the step of obtaining a one-terminal aminosilicone represented by the above general formula [III] by desilylation reaction.
