PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film capable of improving screen unevenness in a high temperature and high humidity environment. SOLUTION: A cellulose acylate having a total acyl group substitution degree in the range of 2.80 to 2.95, a disaccharide or a trisaccharide, and a retardation increasing agent. Hue Y. in 55% by weight methylene chloride solution I. Is a retardation film for vertical alignment, in which the in-plane retardation value at a wavelength of 589 nm is 30 to 130 nm, and the thickness direction retardation value is 70 to 300 nm.
