An insulated wire having excellent adhesion between a polyimide layer and other portions is provided. An insulated wire according to the present invention has, on a conductor, a first layer made of polyimide, a second layer made of polyamideimide, and a third layer made of polyimide in this order. The polyimides constituting the first layer and the third layer are independently of each other 3,3 ′, 4,4′-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride, 3,3 ′, 4,4′-benzophenonetetra. A first polyimide obtained by reacting an acid component composed of carboxylic dianhydride and pyromellitic anhydride and a diamine component containing 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether, or 3,3 ′, 4,4 ′ -It consists of the 2nd polyimide obtained by making the acid component which consists of biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride and pyromellitic anhydride react with the diamine component containing 4,4'- diamino diphenyl ether.
