abstract A method and platform for producing a thermosetting material based on sydnone exhibiting high heat resistance. A method for producing a thermosetting resin composition comprising providing a monomer mixture comprising sydnone and one of an alkene or alkyne. This monomer mixture is thermally activated so that an oligomer is formed by a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of the alkene or alkyne with the sydnone. The oligomer is then cured, resulting in the formation of a thermosetting resin composition containing the crosslinked polymer. [Selection] Figure 9
