A packet-based network architecture that supports distributed and dynamic mobility management (DMM). A processor of a wireless transceiver unit (WTRU) is coupled to a speaker / microphone, a keypad, a display / touchpad and receives user input data therefrom. The processor also outputs user data to a speaker / microphone, keypad, display / touchpad. The processor also accesses information in any type of appropriate memory and stores data therein. Non-removable memory includes RAM, ROM, hard disk, or any other type of memory storage device. The processor accesses and stores data in memory that is not physically located on the WTRU 102, such as on a server or a home computer. [Selection] Figure 1B |
