abstract |
A method for producing surface-modified pearlite capable of producing surface-modified pearlite at a low temperature and capable of suppressing production cost. Moreover, the filter aid using the manufacturing method of this surface modification perlite, the filtration method using this filter aid, and the surface modification perlite which can be manufactured at low temperature are provided. The method includes a preparation step of adding pearlite and an aluminum salt to an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, and a heating step of heating the solution obtained in the preparation step.
