abstract | An adsorbent suitable for use in adsorbing and removing strontium contained in water is provided. The strontium adsorbent of the present invention has amorphous barium aluminosilicate. The strontium adsorbent of the present invention preferably has a BET specific surface area of 2 m 2 / g or more and 250 m 2 / g or less. The amorphous barium aluminosilicate has a molar ratio SiO2 / Al2O3 in the composition analysis of 1.5 or more and 3.5 or less, BaO / Al2O3 of 0.8 or more and 1.5 or less, and A2O / BaO of 0.8.
