Lithium-containing composite oxides having an olivine structure tend to store and release lithium ions one-dimensionally in the b-axis direction of the crystal. Thus, a positive electrode is provided in which the b-axis of the single crystal of the lithium-containing composite oxide is oriented perpendicular to the surface of the positive electrode current collector. Graphene oxide is mixed with lithium-containing composite oxide particles and pressurized. By applying pressure, particles of a rectangular parallelepiped or a substantially rectangular parallelepiped are easily slipped. Further, by using particles of a rectangular parallelepiped or a substantially rectangular parallelepiped whose length in the b-axis direction is shorter than the lengths in the a-axis and c-axis directions, the b-axis can be oriented in a pressurized direction by pressing in one direction. .
