abstract | A preform and a plastic which have good injection moldability when a preform is molded by an injection molding machine, and good blow moldability when a lightweight bottle is molded from a preform by a blow molding machine. A bottle and a method for producing a plastic bottle are provided. In a preform 10 including a mouth part 11 and a body part 20, the body part 20 has a large diameter part 21, a constricted part 22, a small diameter part 23, and a bottom part 24. 20 has a thin portion 25, a thickness increasing portion 26, and a predetermined thickness portion 27, and the overall length L2 of the body portion is 42 mm or more and 65 mm or less, and the thin portion from directly below the support ring 14 with respect to the full length L2. The ratio L4 / L2 of the distance L4 to the lower end of 25 is 0.02 or more and 0.25 or less, and the ratio L6 / L2 of the distance L6 from directly below the support ring 14 to the upper end of the constricted portion 22 with respect to the total length L2 is 0. 0.02 or more and 0.20 or less, and the weight is 17 g or less.
