A coil module with good communication characteristics and magnetic shielding properties and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. A coil module is a coil module for wireless communication or wireless power transmission using a 13.56 MHz or 6.78 MHz frequency band, and includes a base substrate and a coil pattern provided on the base substrate. 6, an adhesive layer 3 provided on the upper side of the coil substrate 2, and a magnetic layer 4 provided on the upper side of the adhesive layer 3 and formed from a magnetic composition containing soft magnetic particles and a resin.
